The Hampton Designer Showhouse, presented by “Traditional Home,” returned to the Hamptons to showcase over 20 of America’s premier design talents. Proceeds from the Hampton Designer Showhouse, which can be visited through Labor Day, will benefit Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. Admission to the Showhouse will comply with all NYS guidelines for health and safety. All guests of Hampton Designer Showhouse are required to have their temperature taken upon check in. We also ask anyone who is not fully vaccinated to wear a mask while indoors and work to maintain distance from other guests while touring the home. Robert used a china cabinet to house books instead of dishes, which of course I am all for!
For travelers arriving by car, free parking is available. I’m a huge fan of Kate Singer’s work and was so excited to see this gorgeous room that she designed in collaboration with Garnet Hill. I’m actually a huge fan of Garnet Hill as well – they make my favorite linen sheets which I’ve written about a few times . The petite butler’s pantry was designed by Mark Addison, and he really made the most of this tiny space!

He transformed the pantry into a cocktail closet , with exuberant wallpaper, an epic art wall, and colorful, jewel-toned glassware. It was a riot of color and just really eye-catching and creative. Just the words conjure images of beautiful people living in beautiful houses on beautiful beaches, driving beautiful cars on hedge-lined streets. I could go on about the lavish parties, celebrity sightings or the balcony seating at Sunset Beach restaurant.

I am amazed at the coffee with a built in ice bucket. Imagine lounging on this large stone patio with several seating areas anchored with beautiful outdoor rugs. The 2018 Hampton Designer Showhouse is a newly constructed 8,200 square foot home built by Barsalin Building and Designand is located in Bridgehampton, New York. This year, the funds raised from the showhouse will benefitStony Brook Southampton Hospital.
The 2018 Hamptons Designer Showhouse is underway, and we got an exclusive first look inside during the opening night Gala at the Bridgehampton home. Each year, the Showhouse allows designers to exhibit the latest in design trends all while benefiting the Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. This year’s home is presented by Traditional Home and was built by Barsalin Building and Design. The designer of this simply chic yet elegant bedroom is none other than HGTV’s Design Star competitor and design expert for the Steve Harvey show, Mikel Welch. We cannot get enough of this dreamy kitchen, designed by Designs by Fernando featuring Kohler home decor and Circa Lighting.

Above, the spacious and airy entryway was beautifully decorated by Sea Green Designs LLC. One of the other downstairs spaces was designed by Sam Ciardi of Samuel Robert Signature Spaces, who was the only designer present in his room at the time when I visited. It was great to meet Sam – he was super friendly and funny and I always love to hear some of the stories behind the creation of the room.
It’s a great way of modernizing a piece that can feel sort of stuffy and old-fashioned. He made numerous trips to the Southampton Public Library to source books that had spines that worked with his color scheme! On the right is a really chic secretary desk that actually you may recognize from the Sex and the City movie – it’s the desk that Big buys for Carrie, which has a TV in it . This chic pool surround was designed by Kim Radovich Interiors for Lloyd Flanders. Outside, the property offers 2 acres of lush grounds, with ample bluestone terraces, a gunite pool, overflowing hot tub, and a North-South Tennis Court. I can watch you play tennis while I’m floating in the pool.

The spa area features a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, a steam room, a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna. The only downside is that the spa area is rather small for the number of guests the hotel can accomodate. We were lucky that the hotel was not fully booked when we were there. But even then we had sometimes trouble to find free loungers.
Swing into a world of luxury with this one-a-kind bar. These fringed bar stools reflect Laura Michaels experience as a previous fashion designer, who gained expertise on all things layered of textured. Laura’s unique style stems from her desire to find the perfect combination of textiles and other materials and integrating them in unique and unexpected ways. The accomplished designer, Kim Radovich, added some extravagant fun to this Bridgehampton estate in the form of classic black and white with pink accents.
The lower level seemed splendidly massive – almost like a glamour pit for spoiled children adults. From the moment you enter, the volume of the house creates a sense of scale that is unique. A two-story foyer leads to a two-story Great Room, with a 22′ wall of glass in the back. The 2018 Hampton Designer Showhouse opened with a Gala Preview Cocktail Party on Saturday, July 21st.

Though it was hard to pick a favorite design element, that window-mirror between the shutters was impressive. What a creative idea to bring more depth to the space. This space was designed by the mother, daughter team,The Rinfret Group.
The room had something of a ballet theme and I thought the basket of pointe shoes was such an interesting touch. Rio Hamilton is a business development professional with vast marketing and sales experience.He specializes in brand promotion for the luxury interior design and lifestyle industries. Rio works with companies, individuals and groups on concentrated brand identity and elevation. He has a popular website that chronicles "the who's who" at design and fashion events throughout greater New York. The home offers a second, junior master, on the first floor where no attention to detail was spared. Shay Geyer has designed this space to be inviting with Hamptons touches like the color palette of blues and whites.
